Vegan cosmetics: product visualization + ethical branding

Context

Empathy Cosmetics approached us to visualize their new line of vegan skincare before production. They needed packaging mockups for investor presentations, website launches, and crowdfunding pages. The challenge was to translate their ethical values — cruelty-free, organic, kind to skin and planet — into visuals that feel both luxurious and sincere.

Approach

We began with tone. The visual world of Empathy Cosmetics was built around soft light, honest textures, and slow beauty. Instead of hyperreal gloss, we aimed for believable warmth — surfaces that invite touch. Every detail, from label typography to the blush-rose color palette, balanced clinical clarity with emotional presence. Using Blender and physical-accurate shaders, we built modular product models for creams, oils, and serums, allowing their team to easily adapt packaging variations.

Outcome

The resulting renders communicated care and modernity without artifice. The brand’s crowdfunding campaign exceeded its target, and the visuals became part of their investor deck and online shop. Empathy Cosmetics now uses the same 3D workflow to preview new packaging — eliminating photo shoots, waste samples, and delays.

Note on Concept Work

Marvelous Mango is a fictional brand concept created by Empathy to illustrate design direction, storytelling approach, and execution quality. All names, products, and outcomes are part of a speculative case study used for demonstration purposes.
